The study itself was powered by BoltChatAI’s AI-moderated conversations, engaging both Gen Z and Millennial Sephora shoppers in natural, one-on-one conversations.

From skincare rituals to what earns a brand their trust, the conversations uncovered the full spectrum of beauty buying, from practical needs to emotional drivers. Shoppers opened up about their routines, motivations and what really makes them choose one product over another.

By comparing these moments across generations, the study revealed just how differently Gen Z and Millennials navigate the beauty world…and why one-size-fits-all strategies just don’t cut it.

Conversations to Connections: Meta-Analysis and Dynamic Personas in Action

To bring the generational insights to life, we introduced the audience to Dynamic Personas representing the Sephora shoppers: distinct, data-rich profiles of Gen Z and Millennial beauty buyers.

Through interactive Avatars, we explored their motivations, routines and brand relationships in a way that felt immediate and human. And thanks to the power of Meta-Analysis behind them, we could highlight clear contrasts, offering the room a real-time, side-by-side look at how different generations feel and shop beauty.
