  • Text responses

    Fast, scalable and ideal for opinion-based questions. Supports open-ended, closed-ended and ranking formats. Fully parsed by the AI analysis layer for theme extraction.

  • Audio responses

    Participants answer by voice. Responses are automatically transcribed with high accuracy and fed into the same analysis pipeline as written answers. Particularly effective in voice-first cultures and mobile-heavy markets.

  • Video responses

    Capture facial expressions, emotional reactions and non-verbal cues that text simply cannot convey. Video adds buy-in within the business — insights feel real, not abstract.

  • Stimulus & image

    Upload creative assets, product concepts, packaging or ad materials directly into the discussion guide. Participants respond to what they see, not hypotheticals. AI analysis covers both the stimulus and the response together.

  • Screen recordings

    Available in UX Research projects. Participants complete tasks on a live website or prototype while sharing their screen, captured alongside webcam footage and a timestamped transcript, so you see exactly what they did and how they reacted.

Stimulus Testing

Bolt Intelligence's stimulus upload feature allows research teams to embed creative assets, images, video clips and packaging concepts directly within the conversation flow. Participants see the stimulus and respond immediately, in the same session. The AI analysis layer processes both the stimulus and the participant's verbal or video response together, surfacing associations, sentiment and clarity scores. Where body language, tone or facial expression diverges from the words, the say-do gap is flagged automatically.
